This site is to share with others my journey of addiction, homelessness, mental illness, prison and how I finally got my life back. Along the road I will share with you the tools that I have used. Some things worked for me, some didn't.  I took what did and I left the rest.

That's the best advice I can give to you as everyones journey is different.

What I can say is that anybody struggling to get their life back on track will find some hope in these pages.

Any addiction brings misery, isolation, desperation, and lonliness beyond comprehension for the sufferer but it also brings the same to the loved ones and family members. So where I can I will try offer support to those affected by someones else's addictions and life problems. Primarily though, I will concentrate on what I know, which is how I recovered.

A life can be restored, I'm living proof! Alcoholism took me to every dark, lonely place a person can go. It stripped me of family, possessions and eventually tried to take my life, but I survived and today have a life restored. I no longer look back with regret, remorse and blame. Today I see my past as my greatest asset, for it has given me the chance to have a life that I had never expected to have.

Today I want to share that life with you and give you any hints and tips I can.

While I was drinking and using drugs I thought I knew everything about addiction. The truth was that what I knew about addiction nearly killed me. I had to become willing to listen to others and try what they had. Eventually I found what worked for me.
